Tour description
This one-day hiking tour of Sapa, will take you to authentic mountain villages like Lao Chai and Ta Van to meet ethnic minorities and admire magnificent landscapes.
Lao Chai is located not far from the town of Sapa , and remains very isolated by the valleys. The village is home to around 50 families of the black Hmong (or variegated Mong) ethnic group. An opportunity for trekkers to discover the authentic life of the locals, for an in-depth look at Vietnam.
This one-day trek with Amica House will reveal a region at the heart of a superb mountain range stretching to the border with China and Laos.

SAPA – Y LINH HO – LAO CHAI – TA VAN – SAPA (L) 5h walk
08:30 – Welcome by English-speaking guide.
Short transfer for a visit to the village of Y Linh Ho, dominated by black H’mong people for centuries. They grow corn, rice and flax…. on the steep slopes.
You’ll see small wooden houses and domestic animals nearby, and get an in-depth insight into the habits and customs of the Black Hmong ethnic group.
The trek continues through the Lao Chai villages, where you can visit some of the Hmong houses and learn about their way of life and their brocatelle weaving workshops.
Note: For Hmong women, weaving is a trade closely linked to the passage to adulthood. Before getting married, all Hmong girls must know how to weave so that the bride-to-be can create her own dress in the months leading up to the ceremony.
Lunch in a local restaurant, then on to the village of Ta Van, inhabited by the Red Dao and Dzay peoples, with a crossing of terraced rice fields and small paths. Transfer to Sapa
